Who is Thoth?

Thoth is the ancient Egyptian god of writing, magic, wisdom, and the moon. Often depicted with the head of an ibis, he was the scribe of the gods and the inventor of hieroglyphs. It is said that Thoth wrote everything down, from the motions of the stars to the destinies of men.
